Meet Megan & Forrest

Megan and Forrest, the founders of Baltimore Bark House, are lifelong animal lovers and devoted dog parents. After relocating to Baltimore in 2017 following several years deployed in the Middle East, they adopted Hilo and Kona—two rescue pups from Wings of Love, Kuwait. Both dogs came with unique behavioral challenges that required patience, training, and a deep commitment to learning.

Through countless training sessions, setbacks, and breakthroughs, Megan and Forrest developed a passion for canine behavior and care. They began fostering dogs, gaining hands-on experience with pups of all personalities and needs.

Ultimately, they left their previous careers to create a dog care center in their neighborhood designed with inclusivity and empathy at its core—one that welcomes quirky, high-needs, and under-socialized dogs. Baltimore Bark House is the result of that mission: a safe, enriching space for all dogs to play, learn, and thrive.

The Team

The BBH team is made up of dedicated, full-time professionals who have chosen careers in animal care—not just a part-time gig. Our team members bring compassion, reliability, and expertise to everything they do, creating a safe and enriching environment for every pup in our care. Every new team member completes onboarding through the International Boarding & Pet Services Association (IBPSA), ensuring they’re equipped with industry best practices from day one. All staff are certified in Pet CPR & First Aid, and we proudly offer paid opportunities for continuing education, including credentialed training through the Professional Animal Care Certification Council (PACCC). At BBH, we believe in investing in our people so they can give their best to your pets.
